The Tale of a Black Ops

Well, as you all already know my final exams are over. That means one thing: PARTY TIME!!!! Definition of party time. So, what is a typical guy with no life going to do when he gets home? No, it ain’t calling all your girlfriends out for a drink nor going out to get stoned. Simple fact is that it’s just not in my dictionary to go out and get wild. So, the only thing left for me to do is use the computer…… So, GAME TIME!!!Well, being away from home for such a long time meant that my brother had stockpiled a whole new bunch of games in the computer. The most prominent of which is the latest and highly anticipated newcomer of the Call of Duty franchise: CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS!!The image which has taken the gaming world by storm. The trailer for this game has been on for quite a long time and honestly, it was quite eye catching. I mean, even the game poster (above) is eye catching. A battle hardened soldier with lots of guns. Kinda reminds me of this:NO DAMMIT!!! I don’t have a fetish for …

It Ain’t a Battle Warrior. It’s a High Flyer

It’s been precisely 1 year since I got my good old reliable Nike+/Air. And indeed, they were really battle warriors. Built to withstand any amount of abuse and terrain. In short, they were sport shoes (pardon my exaggeration). Only predicament, I’m a college student. Gone are the days where I brutally ran across a damp field to get somewhere or chasing my friends around. The battle warriors when I first bought them.Hence, after one year of wearing them, it’s time to give them a break. No, I’m not throwing them away. I’m still going to treat them the same way but with the rank of veteran shoes. Anyway, here are the new babies. Not really clear what classification or product line they come under but we’ll just call them Nike Classics:The ominous and always simple Nike shoebox. Check them out. Don’t they look beautiful?Hmmm… 3 things I’ve learn. My feet are quite big. It’s called Sweet Classic SL09 and it’s ‘Made in China’ (name me something that isn’t)Multiple views of the new High Flye…

I’m back again. This time, I hope it’s permanent. I know it’s been a while since I last updated my blog and to my ardent readers (let me ‘SS’ a bit), I am desperately sorry because I had been tied down with so many things lately (by lately, I mean 4 months). Here’s what I have been tied down with:1. A Students Worst Fear2. A Radio Broadcast Station3. Youth Empowerment, December 2010Well, I can’t really think of any other errands but I assure you, there are a lot more errands which bogged me down. It’s either that or the examinations. Whatever the cause, at least I didn’t do this:Seriously, some people actually do that because of stress. Though I am against it, I wouldn’t call anyone who does this as crazy. Instead, I would just call them unclear of clouded in thoughts. Anyway, it’s great to be back and I’ll be blogging whenever I have the time, rest assured.

A Slice of the Past 4

This photo was the first time I’ve bonded with the renowned Michaelian Debaters’ Club since handing over the reins to the new executive committee. I returned from INTI during the March holidays to help the debate team with their upcoming UTP Debate Competition. This competition is hosted annually by University Teknologi Petronas for a majority of the premier schools In the Perak region. About 30 schools were selected to participate in the event. Among them was St. Michael’s Institution, my alma mater, the pioneer and reigning pride of English Debate in Malaysia. Basically, the debate team consisted of James William Foong, Kenny Liew and Noel Anthony Mano with reserve speaker Frederick Dylan. I assisted with the logistics as well as the registration of the debate team before and during the day of the event. However, when the day arrived, a grave danger occurred when there were not enough adjudicators present to adjudicate the multiple preliminary debates, all of which occurred simultan…

Snapshots From College

I’m really sorry that this post had to come in so late. It has already been so many months since I’ve been in college and honestly, it’s been one of the greatest moments in my life so far. A moment of freedom. One of which has brought fond memories as well as nightmares into my life. For once, I’ve actually lived away from home, away from my mothers delicious home cooked food, away from my loving and adoring family members. But its a phase of life one has to go through eventually. Be it now or later (better to be now than never), we all have to undergo this phase of life and embrace it rather than to despise it. For this is the very reason we undergo all this to make ourselves better and more efficient than we can ever imagine. Now the 6 months I’ve spent as an INTIAN (students/residents of INTI University College) I have realised many things which are extremely important in live. Firstly, one would notice that with great power comes even greater responsibility. To explain this quotati…

Gifts from Mum 1

There’s a reason why the most perfect humans ever created by God are called mother’s. In college, many amenities from home cannot be brought to college especially cooking utensils. So, my mum took the initiative to get me this:That’s right people. I can finally bake and and toast the dishes I’ve always wanted for so long. Thanks mum, this thing can really solve my eating problems. Love you ever so much!JAVOL!!!

Business Studies (Test 2)

Spent the whole day studying for Business Studies (MGT1 1207) Test 2 today. I say, being confined in my dorm is quite stressful  especially when it’s crunch time. But still, I’m just glad that my dorm is actually very comfortable. Anyway, I managed to complete 2 chapters….2 bloody long chapters already. Another 2 to go.
Well, heading for breakfast and then, study fiesta. That’s all for now until my next post.
JAVOL!!! Rubbing left frontal and sphenoid to reduce pressure. Stupid business theories. Ok, I think I’ve got it right. So Product Departmentalization basically mans replicating the same workforce for each product. Ceh! What the heck is centralization and decentralization?

Boredom Enhanced

This is going to be one of those days. Study break for majority of students taking short semesters. At least 75% of those going on break happen to be my closest buddies. My beloved has went back to her hometown as well as all my brothers and sisters. How fortunate of me to be one of the handful who are taking long semesters. That means when they’re examinations end, mines would have just started. But still, there are its benefits. I get a month long semester break while everyone else gets 2 weeks. HA! HA! Gives me more time to hang out with my buddies in Ipoh. Hope they all have semester break. Otherwise, my boredom would just drag on for another month. Well, going for breakfast now….I mean, brunch…..I mean lunch (screw breakfast). Tally-ho andJAVOL!!!

Back And Gone At The Same Time

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s with great regret that I have not been maintain constant communication with all of you. But I just want you all to know that you are not forgotten. Life in college for me has been really taxing. I’m taking 7 subjects as compared to the standard, 4 subjects per semester. To those who find the need to hate me or anything, by all means, I welcome you to do so. But by George, if you ever accuse me of forgetting or not caring, please choke on your own vomit. I wish I could relive high school life all over again because in college, you will be deprived of cash, sleep, care and TIME!!! On average, I work at least 19 hours a day leaving me a minimal 5 hours of sleep or sometimes no time to sleep at all.Believe me, college life is a lot more taxing as compared to high school. So to those who are not yet in college, don’t comment on something you are not sure of. It just shows how idiotic you are. If you are that free, and want a reply, send me an e-mail. I’ll reply i…

New Shoes……GREAT!!!

In the transition to college, it is a unanimous decision that I need a new pair of shoes (my old pair ‘died-ed’ already). After much salvaging and scouting, I managed to locate the perfect pair. Seriously, it’s been a while since I’ve actually seen a shoe built to match me. It’s a state of the art Nike+ Air, sized 4E. Which is equivalent to a 11 half British and a 12 American. This shoes were so big when I saw them, my feet actually had space to breath inside of them. Costs about RM399 which was a real steal considering its size. Best part is I go jogging with it and it tells me how much calories I’ve burnt. Not on it’s own of course (neighbour in next room has and Ipod with the connecting device)That’s all for now. Take care people and God bless. The two “ships”. Seriously, they’re one of the largest ever made.Nike +. AWESOME!!!! All I need now is an Ipod thingamajig.Just another shot. Take note of the wide broadside. An art piece entitled : BOX!!!
